The problem is, most of us breath improperly and never know it, or even think about it. All day, every day
Changing the way we inhale and exhale has a dramatic impact on our health. This has been known for thousands of years, with knowledge dating back to ancient yoga texts and practices, through books of the Chinese Tao from around 400 BCE, all the way up to modern day research. Breathing is a powerful medicine that can influence our physical and mental health in dramatic ways, and has been used to lengthen lives, as a tool to connect with the self, and even to reach higher states of consciousness.
In this interactive and experiential 3 part workshop we will explore:
- functional vs dysfunctional breathing, and how to identify this in yourselt
- what is the “perfect” breath and why
- common myths about breathing such as, the more we breath the healthier we are, taking a deep breath means taking a big breath, and taking a bigger breath oxygenates
us more. - simple breathing techniques that can be used at home to retrain your breathing pattern, balance your body chemistry, regulate your nervous system, decrease the stress response, promote relaxation, and improve your physical and mental health.
This workshop is for anyone who breathes! Breath training is particularly beneficial for those with anxiety, panic attacks, asthma, and sleep apnea, however anyone and everyone can benefit from breath training.
It truly is the missing pillar of health for many.
